African American History Museum Artifacts and Presentation In-Person

The Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum

Join us as Jeffrey Fletcher presents impressive artifacts from the museum his parents started in Stratford, CT. These artifacts bring participants up close to the decades of turbulent times for African Americans in the United States during the period of slavery and the Civil Rights movement. Born and raised in Connecticut, Jeffrey grew up in Colchester and graduated with a BA in Psychology from The University of New Haven. Upon graduation, he worked as a clinician for The State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health for 14 years before becoming a Law Enforcement Officer in the City of New Haven, retiring after 22 years. Jeffrey currently resides in Branford. He is the President of The African American Collections, Inc., as well as Executive Director of The Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum.
